Beach Cleaning Initiative at Kollam Beach: A Step Towards Swachhata Hi Seva

On September 21, 2024, Kollam Beach hosted a beach cleaning initiative as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign. The event, organized by the NSS unit of Fatima Memorial Training College, Mylapore, involved local volunteers and community members. The program was inaugurated by Kollam district collector, Sri. Devidas N IAS, who emphasized the importance of cleanliness and sustainable practices. The event also included educational sessions on plastic pollution and the need for sustainable waste management. The successful completion of the beach cleaning event contributed to achieving Swachhata Hi Seva goals and inspired continued efforts towards a cleaner environment.

Community living camp 💫 Sahasrayam

✨ Sahasrayam 2025 Day 1 Fathima Memorial Training College held a five-day community camp, Sahasrayam, blending learning with service. The event opened with a prayer by Sreelekshmi and a welcome by Vice Principal Anupama Miss. Principal Dr. Omana Sheelan highlighted the value of such camps in shaping socially responsible teachers. MLA Vishnunadh inaugurated the camp, inspiring students with his words and even a song.
