Teaching practice phase one 📖 👩‍🏫 from 14 july 2025 - 17th July 2025
Entering the field of education means taking on the responsibility of guiding and shaping the thoughts and values of young learners. A teacher should embody qualities that encourage and inspire students to embrace learning as a lifelong journey. As part of our curriculum, we began the first phase of our teaching practice on 14th July 2025. I selected AKMHSS, Mylapore as my practice school for this phase.

The first day of my teaching practice was on 14th July 2025. I reached the school by 9:15 a.m. and proceeded to the Headmistress’s room to sign the attendance register.
My first class was scheduled during the 6th period in 8th B, where I began teaching the chapter on square identities. To enhance the students' understanding, I used a chart as a visual aid, which helped in explaining the concept more effectively. I left the school by 4.05pm

On the second day of my teaching practice, 15th July 2025, I had my class during the 8th period, where I taught the special cases of the squares of  sums and guided students through problem-solving based on the identity. The students actively participated and were able to solve the problems with interest and understanding. The class ended by 4:00 p.m., after which I waited until all the students had left the classroom. I then signed the attendance register and left the school campus.

On the third day of my teaching practice, 16th July 2025, after the morning assembly, I went to my class as I had the first period, where I continued teaching the special cases of squares of sums. In the remaining session, I distributed activity cards containing problems related to the topic, which the students solved actively. After the class, I returned to the room allotted to me. Later, I had a substitution duty during the 6th period, and the school day ended at 4:05 p.m.

On the last day of this week 17th July . I had class during the third period, where I taught the topic squares of sums involving special numbers and worked through some related problems with the students. During the break time, I went to the concerned teacher to get my record signed. The school day ended at 4:05 p.m.

Community living camp 💫 Sahasrayam

✨ Sahasrayam 2025 Day 1 Fathima Memorial Training College held a five-day community camp, Sahasrayam, blending learning with service. The event opened with a prayer by Sreelekshmi and a welcome by Vice Principal Anupama Miss. Principal Dr. Omana Sheelan highlighted the value of such camps in shaping socially responsible teachers. MLA Vishnunadh inaugurated the camp, inspiring students with his words and even a song. Adding flavor, the students hosted Samrudhya, a Payasam Mela featuring a variety of payasams that reflected teamwork and togetherness.
