Teaching Practice Phase 1📘 week 4 📚 4/08/25-8/08/25
Teaching practice week 4
The eleventh day of my teaching practice was a smooth and simple one. During my 6th-hour class, I taught the topic "Difference of Squares" using charts as visual aids, which helped students understand the formula better and visualize the identity more clearly. The class responded positively, with many students actively participating in solving problems and engaging with the concept.
On the twelfth day of my teaching practice, I conducted a diagnostic test for class VIII B, providing necessary instructions before the exam. The students attended the test sincerely. Afterwards, in the 8th hour, I engaged the students with a lesson on differences of squares, where we worked on substituting y as 1 in an equation and solved some problems together.
On the thirteenth day of my teaching practice, our school celebrated Hiroshima Day with a special assembly and rally. Despite the commemoration, I had a productive class during the 1st period, where I engaged students in problem-solving on differences of squares. Using slides to present problems helped grab their focus and facilitated an effective learning session.
On the fourteenth day of my teaching practice, I had a straightforward session. During my 3rd-period class, I started a new chapter on polygons, focusing on the topic of names. I used the concept attainment model to introduce the concept of polygons, supported by charts that presented both positive and negative examples, effectively helping students grasp the concept.
On the fifteenth day of my teaching practice, I had a single class during the 3rd period, where I taught the topic "Angles" to the students. We discussed the sum of angles in polygons, and I used charts to make the concept more engaging and effective. It was also the day when our school organized a Parents-Teachers Meeting.
